Dutch gable weaving connects inclined masonry along the roof line to horizontal wall courses. Choose the number of courses per tooth. The top two sections on each side have their own shortened pieces.

Measure the facade width at the roof feet. Enter the gable rise or roof pitch, then choose brick size and desired course gauge. The height refers to the triangular gable, not the wall below the roof feet.
Sloping weaving bricks connect to horizontal wall courses through repeating teeth. The requested course gauge is a target: the calculation finds a fitting layout and reports the gauge used. Distance along the roof slope is different from the vertical course gauge.
A symmetrical gable 8 m wide and 4 m high has a half-width of 4 m. Equal half-width and rise give a roof pitch of 45°. Horizontal brickwork fills the space between the two weaving edges.
