Tudor arch, four-centred arch
Enter the clear opening and rise to the inner point. Choose brick size, arch-ring depth and joint. BrickCore uses a fixed Tudor construction with the small radius equal to half the rise.
Two smaller circular arcs form the shoulders and two larger arcs meet at the point. Setting out requires all four centres. An ordinary pointed arch uses two circular arcs and is a different construction.
For a 160 cm opening and 50 cm rise, the small radius in this construction is 25 cm. The remaining centres and radii follow from the same construction and are shown in the calculation.
